Quick Chat Setup:

To avoid bad or harsh feelings after a race it is strongly recommended

1. that you set up some short cut keys or buttons for the "Quick Chat" function.
This way you can leave a short message to other drivers by only preesing a key/button.

Start GTL, go to the 'options menu' and then 'multiplayer'.
Here you can enter your text/messages.
After that go to the Options/Controls and here on the left 'Extras'.
Here you can assign your messages to keys or buttons.

The following messages are minimum recommended!!
Here an example of the messages I assigned to keys:
- PIT IN - other driver know you possibly change your racing line
- PIT OUT - other drivers know that they have to change their racing line (depending on the track)
- <------ GO LEFT !!! - drivers who are overlapping know your racing line/behaviour
- GO RIGHT ------> !!!! - drivers who are overlapping know your racing line/behaviour
- SORRY - say Sorry if you bump someone
- THANKS - say 'Thank You' when someone lets you pass


Feel free to use the rest of your keys/buttons with some nice messages.

2. In addition to that you should use the 'driver flags'.
Standardly assigned to the 'tab-key'.
